The Goal of the MSM Project
To ensure early diagnosis of HIV infection and to increase outreach and education efforts to encourage the YAAMSM population of Chicago to know their HIV status, engage in behaviors that reduce their risk of becoming infected with HIV and transmitting HIV if currently infected.

SSHC provides comprehensive HIV related services to the Black MSM population including, but not limited to, education and prevention interventions, HIV counseling and rapid testing, case management, support groups, and advocacy increase effectiveness in promoting access to services.

The YMSM Project of SSHC has program that target high risk Black Men with culturally appropriate, gender-specific prevention and risk reduction messages. The project provides Young Black men with HIV/AIDS education and risk reduction information with an emphasis on promoting and reinforcing safer behavior through enhanced decision making skills. Participants receive interpersonal skills training in negotiating and sustaining appropriate behavior changes.

South Side MSM Project
3MV (Many Men Many Voices) - Group Level Education Session - intervention program to prevent HIV and sexually transmitted diseases among black men who have sex with men (MSM) who may or may not identify themselves as gay.

CRCS (Comprehensive Risk Counseling and Services) - Intensive, individualized client-centered counseling for adopting and maintaining HIV risk-reduction behaviors. For HIV negative individuals who are at high risk for acquiring or transmitting HIV and STDs and struggle with issues such as social and cultural factors that affect HIV risk.

OR (Community Outreach and Recruitment) - Outreach and Recruitment to Young MSM Community – to increase awareness and distribution Information of HIV/AIDS transmission and risk reduction-HIV risk free behavior. Recruitment of YMSM individuals into programs

HIVCT ( HIV Counseling & Testing) - HIV testing, Referral, HIV/STD information, condom use, Risk Reduction and Participant Recruitment/Retention for Young MSM and their sexual Partners.
